Phases > Energy & Water
Our
standard Taoton Home is built with a high level of energy
efficiency but there is more that we can do if you choose
to be ‘greener’ and lessen your home’s carbon footprint.
We can use low-flow fixtures such as faucets and
showerheads that deliver less than 2.5 gallons per minute;
ultra low-flow toilets that use less than 1.3 gallons per
flush.
All of
the appliances we install in our homes are Energy Star
rated to ensure the highest level of efficiency and save
money. For more information about all types of appliances
that have an Energy Star rating, visit
www.energystar.gov.
When
installing cooling systems, we’ll look at options that
help keep the house cooler by using less energy and saving
money – installing ceiling fans or a whole-house fan, deep
roof overhangs, opaque window coverings or shading
devices. And for heating systems, getting the right size
of furnace is important.
Today’s innovative window technologies include reflective
glass, low-emissivity (low E) coatings, frame type, and
insulating gases help improve your windows’ energy
performance. |
